Ellenson Learning the Ropes as Board Member

A few months into his first tenure as a Glendora Unified Board Member, Cory Ellenson quickly learned the level of hard work it takes to be pat of such an organization.

That revelation, however, hasn't phased him.

Ellenson, elected into office in November, took the oath of office and was sworn in as a board member during the Dec. 9 board meeting. Ellenson is very grateful for the seasoned board members and administrators who have been helping him along the way.

"I am most grateful for our superintendent, Rob Voors, and his staff, especially Michelle Hunter, Marc Chaldu, and Dominic Digrazia, for providing me with all the information I need, always being so responsive, and answering all my questions," Ellenson said.

Ellenson plans to be a frequent fixture at Glendora's school sites to interact with administrators, teachers and students.

"I hope to make site visits a very regular part of my service as a board member," Ellenson said.

"Throughout everything, I will remain true to the fundamental tenets of my campaign: to offer a fresh perspective to the board, to bring the views and interests of recent alumni into consideration, to utilize my skills and experience as a tax attorney with an accounting background, and most importantly to work very hard to ensure success for every student after graduation," Ellenson said.
