Youngsters on Roof of Glendora Business Leads to Police Response
Employees of Peaches and Cream Day Spa Reported hearing 'hammering' on the roof of the business.
Five high school students on a holiday viewing adventure were led safely down from the roof of a Glendora business last night after the store's employees expressed concerns of possible burglars.
The call was made around 8:30 p.m. at Peaches and Cream Day Spa, 138 N. Glendora Avenue, when employees claimed to hear hammering on the roof.
When Glendora Police arrived shortly thereafter, they had a visual of at least one person on the roof of the business.
A police helicopter arrived overhead and confirmed there were multiple subjects on the roof.
Within minutes, Glendora Police made it to the roof of the business and detained five juveniles, all of whom cooperated with police, authorities said.
"They were just high schools kids looking at the Christmas tree lights," said Sgt. Marty Amaro of Glendora Police. "There were four or five couples up on the roof just enjoying the Christmas lights."
The sightseers were led down safely by Glendora Police.
