VIDEO: Scene Of Sam's Club Shooting

Police worked at the scene of a shooting at Sam's Club, Sunday afternoon.

A man had been struck by a bullet that was accidentally fired from a gun after his wife dropped the purse in which it was contained, Glendora Police said.

The man was struck in one of his arms.

Multiple witnesses reported the husband and wife ran in a northeast direction through parking lots. Witnesses told police almost immediately that they believed the shooting was an accidental discharge, according to scanner reports.

The husband and wife were later arrested at nearby San Dimas Community Hospital.

Robert Duncan, 48, and Helen Duncan, 50, both from Glendora, were booked on suspicion of illegally possessing a concealed firearm without a permit and willfully discharging a firearm with gross negligence. Both were issued citations and released.
