Two Arrested After Being Discovered With Stolen Car
Parolee and his associate were taken into custody after traffic officer discovers the vehicle during normal duties.
Glendora Police arrested a man and woman around 7:15 a.m. Friday after officers discovered the vehicle they were in as having been stolen.
Officers arrested Falecia Pinces, 33, from Pomona, and Shannon Mendoza, 45, from Glendora, on suspicion of possessing known stolen property. Pinces was a parolee and was also booked on suspicion of possessing brass knuckles and methamphetamine. Additionally, Pinces had a grand theft auto warrant, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police.
Pinces was cited and released after police determined he was unaware the vehicle was stolen. Pinces was still booked on being under the influence of a controlled substance, while Mendoza was held without bail.

A parking enforcement officer was out performing normal traffic duties in the 100 block of N. Wildwood Avenue when the officer ran the plate of the car in question, a Honda. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Fullerton, authorities said.
Two Glendora units arrived and watched the area until they observed two individuals enter the vehicle and drive off. Officers followed the car and stopped it as it circled back to the neighborhood it was first discovered, police said. Once backup officers arrived, they arrested Pinces and Mendoza at gunpoint, which is typical of felony traffic stops, Lamborghini said.
