Second Distraction Burglary Hits Glendora

In as many days, a second distraction burglary happens to another elderly female.

In a slightly familiar scenario, a second pair of distraction burglars, sans a little girl, have robbed another elderly woman of cash and jewelry.

The alleged crime occurred around 11:45 a.m., Friday, in the 600 block of W. Invergarry Street. The elderly woman, whose age was not known, was approached by a Hispanic couple who stated they were doing some work on a neighbor's tree to the rear of the victim's home, according to Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police.

While the female suspect accompanied the victim to the rear yard, it is believed the male half entered the home at that time and stole cash and jewelry, possibly from the victim's purse, police said.

According to preliminary scanner reports, the male suspect is described as Hispanic with a dark complexion, possibly in his 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds, possibly wearing a hat. The female suspect is also Hispanic, but with a thin build. A vase may also have been stolen.

Authorities at the scene were told the suspects may have been driving a white truck, possibly a Chevy.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Glendora Police at (626) 914-8250.
