Suspicious Limousine Yields Large Drug Stash

Four men arrested in Walmart parking lot after an officer spots the limo.

made an unusual find Monday after spotting a limousine, the occupants of which had a large stash of drugs inside.

Arrested were Antonio Salas, 36, Steven Ornee, 42, Lann Niemeyer, 55 and Larry Hunt, 30. All suspects were from Los Angeles and were booked on possession of narcotics. Hunt was also booked on an outstanding warrant out of Texas, police said. Hunt and Niemeyer were transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles, while Ornee posted bond.

An officer spotted the limousine in the parking lot, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive, around 2 p.m. Police searched the vehicle after making contact with the four men who were all inside the vehicle and that is when officers discovered the drugs.

"An officer checked some people in a limousine and ended up finding … three ounces of methamphetamine," said Sergeant Scott Strong. Police also found Ecstasy and other various drugs.

Officers impounded the vehicle after taking the men in custody. The limousine belonged to one of the men arrested, Strong said. Why they chose to park at the Walmart lot was not immediately known.

All four will appear in West Covina Superior Court Wednesday, police said.
