Police Blotter: A Look At Calls For Service in Glendora

Calls for the week of Jan. 6 to Jan. 12.

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 6
2:32 a.m. - Police responded to an alarm call at Radio Shack, 830 South Grand Avenue. Police confirmed a window smash had taken place, but what was taken was not immediately known.

7:09 a.m. - Vandalism was investigated in the 2000 block of East Linfield Street.

12:58 p.m. - Police investigated grand theft auto in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.

5:54 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue.

Tuesday, Jan. 7
8:29 a.m. - Police investigated a lost property report in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue.

10:11 a.m. - Police investigated a vehicle burglary report in the 1000 block of East Paddington Road.

12:46 p.m. - Police conducted a pedestrian check on South Grand at Colorado avenues. Arrested was Luther Lester, 40, from Covina, on an outstanding warrant. Lester was issued a citation and released.

2:58 p.m. - Fraud was investigated in the 1000 block of East Flamingo Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 8
1:11 a.m. - Police conducted a pedestrian check at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive. Arrested was Gerardo Padilla, 23, on suspicion of violating the terms of his parole. Padilla was cited and released for a court appearance.

6:19 a.m. - Police investigated a battery report in the 1700 block of East Palopinto Avenue.

10:26 a.m. - Police investigated a burglary report in the 900 block of North Dalton Springs Lane.

1 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported in the 500 block of South Glendora Avenue. Arrested was Judy Mullin, 60, on suspicion of petty theft with a prior conviction. Mullin was cited and released.

5:31 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Walmart. Arrested was Martha Garcia, 41, on suspicion of burglary, possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. Garcia was released for a court appearance.

Thursday, Jan. 9
7:13 a.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 1300 block of South Barranca Avenue.

10:26 a.m. - Police took a report of a recovered stolen vehicle in the 700 block of South Bender Avenue.

1:56 p.m. - A pedestrian check was conducted in the 700 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Terry Kelly, 48, from Glendora, on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Ke;;y was issued a citation and released.

3:28 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 100 block of North Calera Avenue.

4:42 p.m. - A vehicle burglary was investigated in the 600 block of West Route 66.

Friday, Jan. 10
2:07 a.m. - Theft in progress was reported on Baseline Road at Grand Avenue. Arrested was Mike Loveless, 44, from Glendora, on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and grand theft. Loveless was released for a court appearance.

7:59 a.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.

10:17 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of North Vista Bonita Avenue. Arrested was Dennis Staup, 61, from Glendora, on an an outstanding warrant. Staup was cited and released.

2:05 p.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 2100 block of East Route 66.

7:09 p.m. - A disturbance was reported in the 1700 block of East Palopinto Avenue. Arrested was Jeffrey Fransen, 45, from Covina, on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Fransen was released until no further proceedings were desired.

Saturday, Jan. 11
2:08 a.m. - Police conducted a traffic stop on Arrow Highway west of Barranca Avenue. Arrested was Ronald Welch, 52, from Rancho Cucamonga, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Welch was cited and released.

9:21 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 1400 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Dane Sorensen, 25, on suspicion of displaying false registration, failure to provide a license to officers and driving without a seatbelt. Sorensen was issued a citation and released.

1:43 p.m. - Police investigated a vehicle burglary report in the 400 block of North Baldy Vista Avenue.

7:41 p.m. - Police investigated a violation of restraining order report in the 900 block of North Dalton Springs Lane.

Sunday, Jan. 12
12:09 a.m. - Police investigated a report of suspicious circumstances in the 600 block of East Gladstone Street. Arrested was Jereme Alexander, 21, from Glendora, on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Alexander was released after no further proceedings were desired.

1:38 a.m. - Police responded to a traffic collision in the 200 block of West Bennett Avenue. A truck crashed into a house.

2:09 p.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1000 block of West Newhill Street.

4:19 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 100 block of West Route 66.
