It was not immediately known if the couple were at a business during the traffic stop, or if the stop was conducted on Lone Hill.
The man and woman are believed to be connected to a theft of 36 used car batteries from the night of July 4. In that burglary, whoever stole the batteries damaged the protective gate housing the property to gain entry, police said, possibly by hitting it with a vehicle.
