Applications Being Accepted for Citizens Academy

The Glendora Police Department is accepting applications for the next installment of Citizens Academy.

Applications will be accepted no later than Friday, March 7. Classes will commence Wednesday, March 12 and run for 12 consecutive Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class is free to all residents.

Applicants must submit to a record and warrant check. The program can only accommodate 25 participants who work or live within Glendora, or are students of Citrus College and are at least 18 years old.

Citizens Academy, which has graduated over 600 students, will teach students functions of the Glendora Police Department, including dispatch, radar enforcement, drug information and mock traffic stops.

Applications are available at the front counter of the Glendora Police Depatment, 150 North Glendora Avenue, on the city website [http://www.cityofglendora.org], or can be requested by email at nulloa@glendorapd.org.
