Police Blotter: Drugs, Thefts and Traffic Collisions

Local police activity for the week of Nov. 28 to Dec. 4.

The following information was supplied by the Glendora Police department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Nov. 28, Sgt. Williams on duty.

  • At 12:32 a.m. officers responded to a traffic hazard on E. Mauna Loa Avenue at Minnesota Avenue. Officers arrested Jamie Wyle, 26, for DUI and for causing property damaging stemming from a hit and run. She was held on $5,000 bail.
  • At 6:35 a.m. officers performed a pedestrian check on the 1900 block of E. Auto Centre Drive and arrested Daniel Lee, 25, for theft and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Lee also had a warrant. The suspect was held on $100,000 bail.
  • At 8:15 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance call on the 500 block of E. Plymouth Street and arrested the suspect for possession of a controlled substance and for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was held on $10,000 bail.
  • At 1:10 p.m. officers investigated a theft report on the 1300 block of S. Lone Hill Avenue.
  • At 6:26 p.m. officers investigated a grand theft report on the 600 block of S. Elwood Avenue.
  • At 7:37 p.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on San Dimas at Foothill avenues and arrested the driver for failure to provide proof of insurance, driving without a license and driving with a suspended license. The suspect was held on $10,000 bail.


Tuesday, Nov. 29, Sgt. Williams on duty.

  • At 12:08 a.m. officers responded to a grand theft auto report on the 1300 block of E. Gladstone Street.
  • At 9:16 a.m. officers investigated a burglary report on the 1200 block of S. Lone Hill Avenue.
  • At 9:43 a.m. officers investigated a graffiti report on the 200 block on W. Whitcomb Avenue.
  • At 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a battery report on the 300 block of S. Vista Bonita Avenue and arrested David Mullins, 34, for corporal injury on a spouse and willful or unlawful use of violence upon a person. Mullins was held on $50,000 bail.
  • At 3:06 p.m. officers investigated a theft report on the 800 block of E. Claraday Street.
  • At 3:46 p.m. officers investigated a vandalism report at Glendora High School, 1600 E. Foothill Blvd.
  • At 4:40 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress at the 400 block of W. Colorado Avenue and arrested the suspect for a warrant for failing to appear in court. The suspect was held on $560 bail.
  • At 9:03 p.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on S. Glendora Avenue at Arrow Highway and arrested the driver for battery. The driver also had a warrant. The suspect was held on $20,000 bail.


Wednesday, Nov. 30, Sgt. Egan on duty

  • At 12:37 a.m. officers responded to a non-injury traffic collision on N. Barranca at Sierra Madre avenues and arrested the suspect for DUI and for having a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. The suspect was held on $5,000 bail.
  • At 4:53 a.m. officers investigated a theft report at Walmart, 1950 E. Auto Centre Drive. Someone had the license plate stolen from their vehicle, Egan said.
  • At 7:35 a.m. officers investigated a vehicle theft on the 700 block of E. Route 66. Someone's vehicle was broken into and an iPod was stolen, according to Egan.
  • At 8:17 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on the 100 block of W. Route 66 and arrested for driving with a suspended license as a result of reckless driving. The suspect also had a warrant and was held on $15,000 bail.
  • At 9:10 a.m. officers were called to perform a welfare check on the 800 block of E. Claraday Street. Officers arrested a resident for being under the influence of a controlled substance. The suspect was held on $2,500 bail.
  • At 6:09 p.m. officers assisted fire personnel on the 1200 block of E. Crown Street. Officers then arrested a 41-year-old male for disorderly conduct as a result of drugs or alcohol. The suspect was held on $250 bail.


Thursday, Dec. 1, Lt. Caldwell on duty.

  • At 2:29 a.m. officers responded to a report of public drunkenness on the 900 block of E. Route 66. Arrest information was not available due to the at Glendora PD.
  • At 12:34 p.m. officers investigated a vehicle burglary report on the 100 block of W. Route 66. The owner had their vehicle locked and went to work. Upon returning, the owner noticed someone punched out the door lock. A GPS device and third row back seat were taken, Caldwell said.
  • At 8:49 p.m. officers investigated a theft report on the 600 block of E. Renwick Rd.
  • At 10:29 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on the 1200 block of S. Lone Hill Avenue and arrested the driver for operating a vehicle without a valid license. The suspect also had a warrant and was held on $20,000 bail.


Friday, Dec. 2, Lt. Lamborghini on duty.

  • At 9:02 a.m. officers investigated a vehicle burglary report on the 900 block of S. Lone Hill Avenue.
  • At 12:28 p.m. officers investigated a burglary report on the 400 block of W. Arrow Highway.
  • At 6:17 p.m. officers investigated a vehicle burglary on the 1400 block of S. Farber Avenue.


Saturday, Dec. 3 Lt. Lamborghini and Lt. DeMond on duty.

  • At 12:26 a.m. officers performed a follow up investigation to an from Friday. The day prior, the suspect located and visited an off-duty officer's home and threatended them, according to DeMond. A chase ensued, but the suspect escaped. Saurday, Glendora officers recognized the suspect walking near Grand Avenue and Arrow Highway. Glendora PD initiated a foot chase, tackled the suspect and took him into custody. Arrested was Daniel Ceballos, 26, for threatening a police officer and obstructing an officer, Lamborghini said. Ceballos was held on $25,000 bail.
  • At 3:38 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on the 500 block of W Route 66 and arrested the driver for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The suspect was held on $2,500 bail.
  • At 8:26 a.m. officers responded to an injury traffic collision on the 600 block of W. Route 66. In the accident, a 7-year-old girl received minor injuries resulting from the crash, Lamborghini said. Officers arrested Fransisco Garcia, 31, for driving without a license, and driving without proof of insurance. Garcia was held on $300 bail.
  • At 9:50 a.m. officers investigated a residential burglary report on the 300 block of W. Juanita Avenue.
  • At 12:13 p.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on the 400 block of E. Juanita Avenue and arrested the suspect for driving under the influence. They were held on $2,500 bail.
  • At 9:49 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress at Walmart, 1950 E. Auto Centre Drive and arrested Lorraine Raygoza, 31, for theft. Raygoza also had warrants on her record and was held on $1,000 bail.


Sunday, Dec. 4, Sgt. Amaro on duty.

  • At 2:18 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on Lorraine Avenue at Route 66 and arrested the driver for DUI and for having a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. The driver was held on $5,000 bail.
  • At 7:46 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on the 100 block of E. Route 66. There, officers arrested the driver for possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was held on $10,000 bail.
  • At 9:03 a.m. officers investigated a theft report on the 300 block of N. Cullen Avenue.
  • At 12 p.m. officers investigated a residential burglary report on the 1200 block of S. Sunflower Avenue.
  • At 4:07 p.m. officers responded to a report of public drunkenness on the 400 block of E. Route 66 and arrested the 43-year-old suspect for disorderly conduct as a result of alcohol. The suspect was held on $250 bail.
  • At 5:44 p.m. officers responded to a battery report on the 800 block of W. Route 66 and arrested Daniel Wilkey, 53, for battery. He was held on $500 bail.
