DUI Driver Accused of Shearing Hydrant is Arrested
Fire fighters spent nearly an hour attempting to turn off the geyser.
A DUI driver was arrested Wednesday night after reportedly driving over a fire hydrant and causing a watery mess.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. on Baseline Road east of Grand Avenue.
The driver, 33-year-old Carlos Garcia, had finished drinking at a nearby restaurant and accidentally put his Toyota Tundra in drive instead of reverse he told police.
