Wild Deer Found Roaming Glendora Streets

A deer was spotted wandering Glendora streets before it was tranquilized Thursday morning.

A young wild deer dodged traffic and wandered the streets of Glendora, before it was tranquilized and returned to the wild Thursday morning

Sgt. Matt Egan said at around 11:25 a.m. the young deer somehow made its way down from the foothills and onto Glendora streets. He said the deer was spotted wandering Route 66 and Vermont Avenue.

Glendora Police eventually found the deer uninjured in the parking lot of Whitcomb High School, 250 W. Mauna Loa Ave. Monrovia Animal Control arrived and tranquilized the deer. The deer was later taken to the Glendora Mountain Road and Big Dalton Canyon Road area and released back into the wilderness.
