Man Suspected of Attempted Theft at Glendora Dealership

A man was discovered trying to steal a catalytic converter from a truck at a dealership Wednesday morning.

In the early morning hours Wednesday, Glendora Police discovered a man lying underneath a truck at a Glendora dealership, attempting to steal a catalytic converter.  

Glendora Police were called to the Colley Ford dealership, 1945 E. Auto Centre Drive, at around 4 a.m. after a man was seen trespassing onto the property, according to Glendora Police.  

John James, 53, was found trying to remove the converter from the large truck. He also had methamphetamine in his possession.  

James was arrested and booked for attempted grand theft, possession of meth and burglary tools.  

James may be connected to similar burglaries in the area, said police.
