He has been a member of the Glendora City Council since 2003, having served as mayor from 2006-2007 and as Mayor Pro-tem in 2005-2006 and in 2010. He is currently the Chairman of the <a href="http://www.metrogoldline.org/">Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority</a>.</p> <p>Tessitor believes the most important issues facing the city are the dramatically increasing pension funding obligations, impending expiration of redevelopment area 3 and ongoing rebuilding of the city's aging infrastructure such as water, sewers and roads.</p> <p>According to Tessitor, the most pressing policy priorities are employee relations, expansion and improvement of business opportunities and prioritizing city services based on community input. He would like to negotiate a new contract with the Glendora Police Officers Association and the Police Management Association.</p>
