I am sure I'm way off the mark here.....but if you're going to post an event on the Patch, it wouldRead More have been really smart to let the public know the date/day of our newly organized Farmers Market...instead all 50,000 of the residences will have to call the phone number....I'm assuming it is on Saturdays, in the downtown area north of Foothill on Glendora Avenue 10am - 2pm Thank you very much!

They should try enviting the trendy food trucks like Kogi and Grilled Cheese etc. They pull in bigRead More crowds as well as provide food vendors.
Terry May 13, 2013 at 11:27 pm
Am I the only one who doesn't like the fact that the farmer's market was brought back solely to lureRead More people to the Village? A city should use a farmer's market to promote healthy eating and leisurely fun, not as an advertising gimmick for salons and real estate offices.

I'm sorry that they never made it to their Grand Ave. location...Trader Joes....want to move in???
Mary Worthington April 18, 2013 at 01:50 am
I'm sorry to see them go. They had some interesting selections not available elsewhere.

I agree with Gary - great work to all who participated. Would like to know the winners.

Amazing Artists again this year. Stop down in the Village to check it out. The artwork will remainRead More on the sidewalks for about a week (baring any rain) so that visitors to next weeks Earth Day Festival at City Hall can still enjoy the artwork.

Sam's has great security. If anything can be done, it will be. Speaking from experience.

I am very to have to say it again fellow Glendorians but it is time we watch very closely what isRead More going around us 24 hours a day and it will only get worse as Uncle Jerry Brown let's all the prisoners out the back door. Be very weary for stranger and people you do not recognize. I am very sorry that this had to have to happen to this nice lady.
Dave April 24, 2013 at 01:37 am
Wait........Glendora has restaurants????? Its pretty sad that I have to leave our great city to goRead More to dinner.....
B.K. Holthaus April 22, 2013 at 03:28 pm
The info came from the Federal Food and Drug Administration. I'd say that's a reliable source. It wasRead More made clear that the majority of meat is not meeting their standards.
MDGDA April 22, 2013 at 01:31 pm
B.K. Holthaus: Don't believe everything you see on TV! The fecal material on red meat is fromRead More employees not properly washing their hands before touching it. You will most likely find it on the fish and vegetables as well. The salmonella was located ON the meat not IN the meat (with the exception of ground beef). The bacteria dies very quickly when cooked as soon as the meat begins to brown. There is very little danger even when cooked at med rare.

Great! The Brits are staying after all..... too bad prices aren't a bit lower. ......stores are wayRead More to small. ...

Nice!

That's why we are building rail stations all over the county, so the future generations can buildRead More AROUND the stations. Sort of chicken or egg. If Metro built stations at every major business center, almost nothing would get built because it would be prohibitively expensive. This is why good TOD policies are so important. If cities don't encourage TOD and re-zoning for density around stations, then it's wasting everyone's tax money to build the stations.
B.K. Holthaus April 2, 2013 at 04:06 pm
Agreed.Which is why I noted that finding a station that's even close to a major business is hard.Read More None of the stops I've seen on the Gold line (from Pasadena to Union Station) are conveniently within walking distance to no more than a handful of businesses.Ironically, subways in major eastern cities were planned with their riders in mind...not so much here.
Gloria April 2, 2013 at 01:02 pm
If the Gold Line stops at ever proposed station, it can't gain much speed between. i.e.between AzusaRead More to Citrus College and Glendora post office. Once near your distination, you have no car, unless you walk or your company provides a shuttle. We won't talk about ped. crossings, traffic delays, overhead lines, and noise, etc.

Well said Cyndy. Carrell
Zak Bushey, Realtor March 16, 2013 at 10:58 pm
Jay, what street was that? I just had 2 clients resell for about 50k higher than what they purchasedRead More last couple of years. It was good for them and the neighbors to get back some lost equity.
Jay March 16, 2013 at 12:13 pm
I have a home in my neighborhood that was foreclosed, bought at an auction and had some lipstickRead More slapped on it and now the home is on the market for 50k more then I paid for my home in 2011. I hope it sells for that cause it will help the values in my area go up more.
Virgil March 13, 2013 at 08:25 pm
I would rather TB have left the building in it's original configuration but I don't own theRead More franchise, building or property. I respect the rights of the owner to do what he wants within the limits of existing building codes. If "taco Jim" is still the owner he has earned the right as a long time businessman and community member to do as he wises He is looking out for the best interest of his business for the future. We need smaller govt and a business friendly environment.
Libby March 13, 2013 at 05:31 pm
So sad to see "Our" Taco Bell gone. I am so sad I did not get pictures. I was 6 years oldRead More when Taco Bell was built. It was our High School Hang Out! I remember the fire pit out front. Such a shame to lose the tree.
JPA March 13, 2013 at 03:40 pm
I agree with Gloria and Donna! You'd think they could find a way to design the building andRead More landscaping around the old tree.
