Discount Dining Through Social Media

Many local restaurants are offering discounts and special promo's to facebook friends!

As social media continues to grow, there are many people that are taking advantage of great deals through local restaurants. Businesses, like individuals, can also have a Facebook account which is referred to as a page. A lot of Glendora restaurants and other businesses are growing their connections on Facebook and finally starting to use it to increase business.

You can connect with some of the more popular establishments such as T Phillips, Frisella’s Roastery, Maria’s Mexican Food and Clubhouse 66 on Facebook. These restaurants announce specials and run promos for their Facebook fans. Click on the restaurant to be linked to their Facebook page.

Clubhouse 66 for example has often times had great giveaways for sporting events as well as spotlighting their culinary skills on daily dinner specials. Maria’s has given away gift cards as well as hosted fan appreciation weeks to include free tacos and 20% discounts.

Many of the restaurants use social media for something far more important than announcing promos; they use it to build a better relationship with their customers. Similar to your relationships with friends on Facebook, loyal customers are proud to comment and share stories with the restaurants pages. Some status updates and pictures that restaurants post get over 100 likes or comments that build an overall sense of community.

Bottom line is that social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are a great way to connect to much more than just friends and family. These restaurant discounts are just a small part of how social media can bring communities together by building interpersonal relationships among millions of users. If you are against using Facebook, that’s your decision. But if you are using it, then use it to your advantage to save money and network with your local businesses and residents. Odds are you visit these establishments anyway, you might as well be aware of specials that can save you and your family money.
