Walkers Hope to Make Strides Against Breast Cancer

The Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center will participate in the American Cancer Society's walk Saturday at Suzanne Park.

A team of associates from Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk in Walnut Saturday from 9-11 a.m.  Check-in for the Walk is at 8:30 a.m.

The Walk will be held at Suzanne Park to raise awareness and funds to help fight breast cancer.  This is the first time that PVHMC has participated in the Walnut Walk.

“We’re pleased to be part of this exciting opportunity to further help in the fight against breast cancer,” said Hazel Wong, benefits manager at the hospital.  “We have a very active wellness program at PVHMC for our Associates – “Operation Wellness” – and this walk allows us to support the ACS and help our Associates with their personal Operation Wellness goals.”
