Local Organizations Host Annual Toy Drive

Glendora-based developer Crestwood Communities, along with St. Dorothy's School and the Glendora Public Library, are raising toys for more than 1,000 children this holiday season.

Crestwood Communities is hosting its 13th annual Wheelbarrow of Toys drive for children in the Inland Empire. This year, the Glendora-based developer, along with the Building Industry Association – Baldy View & Riverside Chapters , students from St. Dorothy Catholic School and the Glendora Library staff, worked together in gathering hundreds of toys for children in need this holiday season.

Crestwood Communities collects over 800 toys every holiday season, according to Kitty Garvey, CFO of Crestwood Communities. The toys will be handed out at a Dec. 24 holiday event at Mary’s Mercy Centers, a San Bernardino-based homeless community care provider. The event provides gifts and toys to 1,100 children on Christmas Eve.

Students at St. Dorothy’s Catholic School donated 100 toys to the drive and presented their donations to Crestwood Communities Wednesday morning.
