I think it is safe to say that we all want to make the world a better place but sometimes that task can seem a little daunting.

At Patch we want to make it easier for you. Each week we will feature a place in your community that needs your help. We know your community has given you a lot and now it is your turn to give back.

Have an item that totally says 2011? Be a part of history by donating your piece of Glendora present.

The city of Glendora is collecting items to place in a time capsule as part of its time capsule tradition. Donate your letters, photos or small items that reflects 2011.

Who does it benefit?:

The City of Glendora and (future) residents of Glendora.

When is it?: Glendora Community Services will be accepting items until Nov. 6.  The time capsule will be closed Nov. 14

Where is it?: Bring your items to the Community Services Department at, 116 E. Foothill Blvd, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items may also be dropped off at the Community Carnival at Sports Park Nov. 4, 5 and 6.

Additional Information: Donations must be placed in a plastic zip lock bag with the name, address and phone number of the donor. Please include a description of the items in the bag. Final selection of items to be included will be made by the Glendora Centennial Committee and all donors will be recognized at the time capsule closing ceremony.
