The Glendora Sister City Association forms sisterhood with Merida, Mexico.

While Glendora has a strong relationship with sister city Moka Japan, the city also has another sister city in Merida, Mexico.

The Glendora Press reported Aug. 14, 1966 that the Glendora Sister City Association attended a conference in Puebla, Mexico to advance the possibility of sisterhood between Glendora and Merida.

That year, then Glendora Mayor Joe Finkbiner wrote a letter to the municipal president of Merida inviting the city to enter into a Sister City association with Glendora.
