Williams Fire: Crews Still Working, Containment Possible Sept. 13 (Video)

The fire is still burning steadily in the San Gabriel Canyon. Authorities provide insight into possible causes for the fire, weather concerns and evacuations.

People and animals were enjoying Labor Day at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, but firefighters were busy using a portion of the dam to coordinate the fight against the ever-increasing Williams Fire.

The fire has reached more than 4,000 acres with about 5 percent containment, according to officials. Several personnel needed help because of heat exhaustion, and a pair of hikers were taken to safety.

Six heavy air tankers, eight helicopters and 25 hand crews were working in the steep terrain, authorities said.
