NAME: Luke Augustyn
SCHOOL: Charter Oak High School, senior
ACCOMPLISHMENT: As the Salutatorian of his senior class, this Glendora student at Charter Oak High School is headed to Tulane University in New Orleans this fall.
KEY TO AWESOMENESS: Currently ranked third in his class, Augustyn boasts a G.P.A. of 4.3 During his junior and senior years, he maintained a 4.67 G.P.A. each semester. Over the course of his high school career, Augustyn completed seven honors courses, three AP classes and 10 IB courses. He will graduate with 290 credits, 70 more than the required 220 credits for graduation.
Aside from his involvement in Drama and various clubs on campus, Augustyn has delivered the student report at every school board meeting. After being accepted to a long list of prestigious universities including UCLA, Augustyn set his sights on Tulane University in New Orleans.
