Two Female Students Followed By Suspicious Vehicle

Glendora Unified notifies parents of the Tuesday morning incident.

is alerting parents of a suspicious vehicle that reportedly followed two female students Tuesday morning.

In an e-mail sent by Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Michelle Hunter, at around 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, a white compact car closely followed two female students as they walked to school near l at Palopinto Avenue.

At one point, the car made a U-turn, according to the alert. The driver of the vehicle made no direct contact with the students. Still, Department was immediately contacted. An additional patrol car was sent to investigate, said Hunter.

The vehicle is described as a white compact car with a logo on its side. The driver is described as a Hispanic male around 20 to 30 years of age.

“Please remind your children to be aware of their surroundings and not to walk alone to and from school,” Hunter urged parents in the notice.

This is the second safety notice GUSD has sent to parents since school began last Wednesday.

On Friday, GUSD sent another notice alerting parents of a in Azusa.

The attempted kidnapping occurred Thursday, Aug. 16 on Orangecrest Avenue near Citrus Edge Street in an unincorporated area of Azusa.
