UPDATE: Power Outage Forces Day, Evening Classes To Be Canceled at Citrus

UPDATED 11:13 a.m.: The power outage at Citrus College has forced the cancellation of evening classes and the college's business offices as well, officials said.

It is unknown if Shows at the Haugh Performing Arts Center and Glendora's homecoming game will go on as scheduled, said Paula Green.

"We are thinking that the problem could be solved and the homecoming game could go on as scheduled," Green said.

PREVIOUSLY: Officials are trying to discover the cause of a power outage that has left the entire Citrus College campus in the dark.

The outage has forced officials to cancel all daytime classes.

The outage occurred sometime before 8 a.m. and technicians are working to restore power, said Paula Green, director of communications at Citrus College.

The outage still persists.

A Citrus Alert, both email and phone call, was sent out to students informing them of the cancellation of classes.
