An ad hoc subcommittee investigating Citrus College Trustee Gary L Woods’ alleged Azusa residency will be transferred to the state attorney general, according to a planned presentation at Tuesday’s Citrus College Board of Trustees meeting.
The ad hoc subcommittee was formed following allegations that Woods violated terms of elected office by living outside of his Area 1 boundaries.
According to report documents released as part of the board’s agenda Monday, the subcommittee is recommending that the board authorize legal counsel to file a request for leave to sue in quo warranto with the state attorney general.
However, the subcommittee stopped short of declaring Woods’ seat vacant, stating “there is insufficient evidence to conclude at this time, with the degree of certainty necessary to vacate his seat and appoint a successor, that Dr. Woods is not a resident of the District. “
The board will meet 4:15 p.m. today on the Citrus College campus at the Center for Innovation, Room 159, 1000 W. Foothill Blvd., Glendora.
