Glendora Unified Ranked Among Top Districts in Progress of Minority, Disadvantaged Students

Glendora Unified was ranked fourth in the statewide study.

An educational research organization recognized Glendora Unified for its work on the progress of minority and disadvantaged students in its district.

The Education Trust-West District Report Cards ranked Glendora Unified fourth in California in outcomes for Latino, African-American and students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Baldwin Park Unified School District was ranked first in the state, while Glendora Unified and West Covina Unified school districts were tied for fourth.

Thirty-eight percent of students in Glendora Unified are Latino, while 21 percent are categorized as low income.

The report cards were based on data from the California Department of Education to assign the “A-F” letter grades and rankings using four factors: performance, academic improvement over five years, achievement gaps and college readiness.
