The Go Green Initiative with Jill Buck

On January 26, Jill Buck, the founder of the Go Green Initiative which is the nation’s fastest growing fully comprehensive environment action plan for schools, will conduct two presentations at the HK Baird Theater at Royal Oak Middle School in the Charter Oak Unified School District.  The Go Green Initiative is a grassroots environmental program that unites parents, teachers and students to create a culture of conservation on campus.  The first presentation will be for high school environmental groups or clubs from 1-3 p.m.  The second presentation will be for parents from 6-7 p.m.

During Jill’s presentations, she will:

  1. Teach students to be responsible caretakers of the planet
  2. Heighten community awareness of and participation in environmentally responsible behavior
  3. Create interest in establishing standards and procedures for environmentally responsible practices

The Go Green Initiative has been endorsed by the National School Boards Association, National Recycling Coalition and California PTA.
