Citrus College Receives Sizable Grant
College receives over $500,000 for numerous uses throughout the campus.
Citrus College revealed in their October Citrus View publication that the campus was given a large grant for various uses throughout the institution.
The $538,717 grant was given by the Citrus College Foundation. The grant will be used for student scholarships, mini-grants for innovation and for the campus' College of Completion initiative.
The Institute seeks to explore new and innovative strategies to engage students, officials said in a press release. The ultimate goal is to establish Citrus College as the premiere institute of college completion in the nation.
About $300,000 will go towards the Institute.
“I am grateful to the Citrus College Foundation for their support of our efforts,” said Geraldine Perri, superintendent/president of Citrus College. “As we enter the second year as a College of Completion, we will continue to work diligently to research and implement strategies leading to enhanced student success.”
