Citrus College Named 'Military Friendly School'

Citrus College earned the distinction of a “Military Friendly School” for the fourth year in a row.

G.I. Jobs Magazine awarded Citrus College the title, ranking the school among the top 15 percent of the more the 12,000 higher education schools surveyed across the nation, according to a statement from Citrus College.

The ranking is a result of a data-driven survey conducted by the magazine, looking a college’s policies and efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students.

“Since 2010 when the Citrus College Veterans Center opened, we have expanded and enhanced our programs and services to help veterans transition into the classroom and thrive on an academic and personal level,” said Superintendent/President Geraldine M. Perri in a statement. “Our inclusion in the magazine is an acknowledgement that we at Citrus are at the forefront of providing those who have fought for our country the tools they need to attain a high quality education.”
