Who Is South Pasadena's Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Barack Obama their person of the year. Tell us who you think should win from our town!

Time magazine has named President Barack Obama as their Person of the Year.

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle, Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, and Apple CEO Tim Cook. But, the president took the title again four years after he first won the award as president-elect in 2008.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is South Pasadena’s Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse”?

Tell us your nomination in the comments section below!

after reading my previous comments, I noticed I committed numerous typos, please excuse them. I was just eager to get my nomination in and jumped the gun before proofreading my comments

I would like to add to two additional nominees to those I suggested previously. First is city clerk Sally Kilby, who goes way beyond what is expected of a public official. Her hours are not the traditional 9-5, she is seen all over town volunteering her services at many events and activities. The popular Kilby has been involved in numerous outside activities since her arrival in South Pas. i am surer most SP residents and officials will concur with my choice. The other is a man who also donates his time liberally, Dave Jontz, he works Tiger Bingo (though he has no one attending the school) he performs in the annual Messiah at Christmas, works with SPTOR float, tends bar at special events, and the list goes on. He is deserving of accolades. Attaboy Dave!
