The Glendora Public Library is getting ready to celebrate its 100th birthday in May.
From 1908 – 1912, the Glendora Woman’s Club nurtured and grew the library reading room. One hundred years ago in May 1912, the reading room was entrusted to the City of Glendora and became the community’s Glendora Public Library.
In honor of the library’s upcoming centennial, the library would like to know – “What’s your favorite book?”
You can submit your title and author to in several ways:
- Go to: www.glendoralibrary.org and on home page you will find a link to submit your title;
- Email: library@glendoralibrary.org;
- Come to the library and fill out the Favorite Book form.
The results will be tallied and the library will create a list of the "Top 100 Favorite Books of Glendorans." Adult and/or children’s books, all are welcome. On May 1, 2012, see if your book made the list!
To celebrate the centennial, the library will have an “Eatable Book Contest” and ice cream social on May 19, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. More details to be announced.
