Medical Marijuana Dispensary Closes Its Doors

The lone medical marijuana dispensary in Glendora had been open a month before closing.

A medical marijuana dispensary that has closed its doors, according to the Glendora Police Department.

Glendora Healing Clinic, 915 W. Arrow Hwy, had only been open for about a month before pressure from local law enforcement and the FBI shuttered the business.

“At this time, it looks like they have closed,” said Cpt. Tim Staab. “They could reopen their business, but they would not be open for long if they did.”

The dispensary had a page on Weedmaps.com, a website listing medical marijuana dispensaries in California. However, that page has been discontinued.

According to Staab, since California's Compassionate Use Act of 1996 and the subsequent Medical Marijuana Program Act that became law on Jan.1, 2004, two other dispensaries opened in Glendora, but were closed within several weeks of opening.

Glendora municipal code follows federal law which prohibits medical marijuana dispensaries, said Staab.
