Huff: 'We Didn't Accomplish What We Needed to Do'

The State Senator is disappointed the California legislature did not implement all the pension reform it needed to, he said.

Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) wraps up the final week of Legislative Session in his Capitol Comment for the week of September 10.

One of the biggest accomplishments and disappointments is the work that took place on public employee pension reform, Huff said. The Governor did strike a deal with legislative Democrats to enact six of the 12 points in the Governor’s public pension reform plan, but the Senate Republican Leader says the agreement falls far short of what California needs, according to news release by Huff’s office.

Workers’ Compensation reforms and reforms that would have limited the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) also dominated the final week of Senate Session, Huff’s office.
