Gold Line Construction Continues to Glendora

Construction crews and equipment will be on N. Citrus to Barranca Avenues until Nov. 1.

Preparation for the Metro Gold Line extension to the Azusa/Glendora border continues as construction crews will begin intermittent work from N. Citrus Avenue to Barranca Avenue until Nov. 1.

Crews will install underground electrical conduit and utility boxes within the railroad corridor as part of construction for the 11.5-mile Metro Gold Line extension, according to a city bulletin. Construction will be done from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting Aug. 1 until Nov. 1, weather permitting.

Motorists, residents and businesses in the surrounding area should expect to hear equipment noise. Flaggers will direct traffic during construction.

Street lane closures are not expected and access to residences and businesses will not be affected, according to a bulletin.
