Glendora Incumbents to Run Unopposed in City Election

Current Glendora council members won’t have any competition in the city’s March election.

Another Glendora city election is drawing near, but there will be few surprises. As the deadline to file was Friday, the only two qualified candidates for the two open positions on the dais are incumbent council members Karen Davis and current Glendora Mayor Gene Murabito.

Glendora resident Ed Brubaker pulled candidacy papers but did not turn them in before the filing deadline.

This means Davis and Murabito are poised to join council members Doug Tessitor, Judy Nelson and current Mayor Pro Tem Joe Santoro for another term.

Murabito has been on the city council since 2009. A former director for the Foundation for Glendora Unified Schools and the current director of the Kiwanis Club is also currently serving his first term as city mayor.

Davis has served on the council since 2005 and has served two terms as mayor of Glendora. She is the pastor of First Christian Church of Glendora.

Go, go GPD. It is nice to be appreciated, but even better when someone acknowledges it.
