U.S. Rep. Grace Napolitano, D-El Monte, who represents a portion of Glendora, will speak at a forum Saturday in Duarte on the Affordable Care Act.

The event, hosted by Rose Hills and other healthcare providers,  will be an educational forum.  Organizers will not be enrolling attendees in the new health exchanges, officials said.  Those wishing to enroll in Medicare and Medi-Cal will be able to sign up for those programs.

State Sen. Ed Hernandez also will speak at the forum.

Napolitano posted the following message on her Facebook page.

"Many constituents have called with questions about enrolling in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which began on October 1st. It is critical that everyone, regardless of your opinion on the ACA, receives accurate information.

This weekend we will be hosting a free forum from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at City of Hope’s Cooper Auditorium (1500 E. Duarte Rd., Duarte, CA 91010) where experts and health professionals will be available to answer your questions and explain how the ACA affects you. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Jacqueline in my El Monte Office at 626-350-0150."
