Commission to Discuss Village Zoning Changes

New development standards include designating some properties as mixed use.

The Glendora Planning Commission will meet tonight to discuss proposed zoning changes of the Glendora Village Center, including designating some properties as mixed use.

An Ad Hoc Committee was formed in 2010 to research that would “preserve the character and charm of the old historic village and surrounding neighborhoods” while also encouraging continued growth in the area, according to city reports.

Development standards for the Village area were adopted in 2007, although city planners felt the city needed to update its “hodge podge of different development zones.”

The commission will also discuss zoning changes for a proposed condominium complez for vacant property on Glendora and Ada avenues.
