City Selects Next Library Director

Officials announced the selection of the next Glendora Public Library director.

Long-time Senior Librarian Janet Stone was selected by City Manager Chris Jeffers to replace retiring director Robin Weed-Brown, officials announced in a press release.

"Replacing Robin will be difficult. Janet can certainly be considered a fortunate attribute for the City given her experience and involvement in our library for the last six years," Jeffers said.

Stone has worked as the senior librarian for six years, overseeing the Adult Services department. Prior to her work with Glendora, Brown served for 18 years with the City of Pasadena Library, officials said.

Stone's appointment is expected to be ratified by the City Council at the December 10 City Council meeting, with Stone beginning her new job Dec. 20, officials said.
