Annual Trivia Bowl Raises Funds for the Glendora Public Library

The , sponsored by Athens Services, correctly answered “Kiwi” to the question, earning this year’s title at the 20th annual Great Trivia Challeng at Azusa Pacific University. The event, sponsored by the Friends Foundation, is a yearly fundraiser for the . Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward programs such as Adult Literacy, Summer Reading Clubs for infants through adults, outreach to expectant parents, SAT workshops and cultural events.

The volunteer-coordinated event was also sponsored by donations from 57 restaurants, 44 businesses, as well as various other community organizations.

 “I always enjoy watching as the Glendora businesses and service clubs come together each year in this friendly competition," said Robin Weed-Brown, Library Director. The library expects $195,356 in reductions for the upcoming fiscal year.
