210 Freeway Closures Planned This Week

Expect to take a detour as the 210 freeway near Arcadia will close this week.

The I-210 Freeway will be closed up to three nights this week during construction of the Gold Line extension.

The Metro Gold Line Construction Authority is planning up to three freeway closures this week to allow Southern California Edison to relocate power lines that intersect in the area of the new Gold Line bridge near Arcadia.

There will be a certain full closure Tuesday, Aug. 28 and a possible full closure Wednesday, Aug. 29 of the eastbound and westbound I-210 Freeway.

On Thursday, Aug. 30, the GLCA plans a full closure of the eastbound I-210 Freeway while the westbound lanes will remain open.

Closures of on-ramps to east and westbound freeways will begin 9 p.m. Up to three lanes in both directions will close starting at 10 p.m. with full closures of both directions starting at 11 p.m. through 5 a.m.

During the eastbound freeway closure on Aug. 29, on-ramps will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Up to three eastbound lanes closed starting at 10 p.m. All lanes will be closed starting at midnight until 5 a.m.
