A would-be thief snatched a gift card from a woman’s hand, but seemed to have a change of heart Friday morning.
At around 7:55 a.m., a woman was walking in a parking lot in the 700 block of S. Grand Ave. with a gift card in hand, when a young man approached her and grabbed the gift card from her. As he ran away, the woman began screaming.
“The suspect thought about it, and returned the gift card to her,” said Lt. Rob Lamborghini. The suspect, described as an 18-19-year-old Hispanic male, fled the scene soon after.
Lamborghini said police are still searching for the suspect.
