World War II Hand Grendade Found in Glendora Garage
Bomb squad determines the firing pin and explosives had been removed.
A Glendora man received a scare when he discovered a hand grenade while clearing out the garage of his recently deceased father-in-law on Sunday.
The man, working in the 1100 Block of East Bradford Drive, contacted Glendora Police at 10:48 a.m., and police called in the Los Angeles County Bomb Squad.
The squad determined that the hand grenade was from World War II and that the explosives and firing pin had been removed.

As such, it was not dangerous. But they confiscated the war relic so it would not create a scare if someone found it again sometime in the future, said Glendora Police Lt. Matt Williams.
