Witnesses Help Nab Would-Be Burglar
Reported resident of trailer park allegedly attempted to break into a nearby residence.
A man was behind bars Tuesday after a witness reported the suspect attempted to break into a nearby residence.
Arrested was David Chaparro, 33, on suspicion of burglary in the first degree and on an outstanding warrant. Chaparro was held in lieu of $20,560 bail.
responded to the , 1630 South Barranca Avenue, before 1:30 p.m. after someone reportedly witnessed Chaparro attempting to break in to a trailer, police said. The suspect allegedly fled after being seen by someone.

After interviewing several others, officers eventually located Chaparro in a neighboring trailer. It appears it was an attempted burglary and that Chaparro never made it in, police said.
Chaparro is due at West Covina Superior Court June 28.
