SoCal Edison Employee: "I Never Thought it Would Happen at My Office."

Shooter at Irwindale offices of SoCal Edison kills two, takes own life, possibly six others injured.

The death toll from today's shooting at one of the Southern California Edison buildings in Irwindale is three, including the gunman who opened fire at the business.

The man was armed with a rifle and entered one of the buildings at the Rivergrade Road offices, according to Irwindale police.

The complex houses some offices used by other businesses as well.

Six people may be injured, according to Irwindale PD. Their wounds are considered to be non-life threatening.

Glendora Police were called to aid Irwrindale PD around 1:30 p.m. Two officers were sent to coordinate operations, according to Sgt. Amaro of Glendora Police.

An IT employee with SoCal Edison spoke with Glendora Patch about what he saw and heard.

"We got an intercom announcement that there was an emergency situation and to not leave the building. It's sort of an open campus and we all looked outside and saw all the police with their sniper rifles," said Sung Kim.

According to Kim, there are three buildings on the SCE campus, the shooting took place in building three, Kim works in building two. About 100-200 people work in his building.

The buildings were placed on lockdown until the situation settled enough for people to begin evacuating, Kim said.

Kim first thought someone might have been playing a terrible prank, but as he left, he saw more officers and SWAT members staging with their weapons.

"It could really happen anywhere," said Kim. "I never thought it would happen at my office."

Glendora PD are still on scene.
