Two-Year-Old Child Critically Injured in Accident on Route 66
Cars collided as one car changed lanes near Loraine Avenue.
A two-year old girl was critically injured and her mother sustained a broken rib as an unsafe lane change led to a two-car collision on westbound Route 66 approaching Loraine Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The child was transported to Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, said Glendora Police Sgt. Matt Williams. Her mother was also on board and was checked into USC Medical Center, which includes Children’s Hospital.
Williams did not know if the mother and daughter were Glendora residents.

The female driver of the other vehicle was not injured, Williams said.
He said the investigation is ongoing and it is not yet known which car made the unsafe lane change. He said the car with the mother and daughter was hit in the rear and spun around in the accident, but was not totaled.
