Two Men Arrested in Connection to Park-and-Ride Thefts
The break-ins occurred in park-and-ride lots in Riverside, Corona and eastern Los Angeles County.
The California Highway Patrol is asking the public’s assistance for any further information on a series of break-ins at park-and-rides in the area.
On Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 9:40 a.m., a CHP officer arrested two men in a Green Chevrolet Blazer at a Glendora park-and-ride at Lone Hill Avenue on suspicion of attempted theft.
The arrest came after the officer monitored a radio broadcast of a suspicious vehicle that arrived and left the Via Verde park-and-ride in San Dimas.

The officer spotted the same vehicle at the Lone Hill Avenue park-and-ride in Glendora.
The officer followed the vehicle as it exited the parking lot and entered the I-210 freeway, where the officer conducted a traffic stop.

Both suspects, described as two Hispanic men, were later booked at a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas station and charged with receiving stolen property, burglary, vandalism, possession of burglary tools and grand theft.
A search warrant on the suspect’s residence yielded burglary tools and multiple stolen property.
The CHP asks that anyone who may have been a victim or witness of vehicle theft at a park-and-ride in Riverside, Corona, or eastern Los Angeles County to call the Baldwin Park Area office during normal business hours at 626-338-1164 or after hours contact the Los Angeles Communications Center at 323-982-4900.
