SoCal Edison to Match Donations to Shooting Victims, Families

SCE established the $100,000 fund for victims in last week's shooting.

IRWINDALE (CNS) - Southern California Edison announced today it will match any additional employee contributions to a $100,000 fund that the utility established to aid victims and family members affected by last week's shooting, in which two supervisors were killed by an employee who then took his own life.

"There has been an outpouring of support for the victims of the tragedy from employees, members of the community and businesses," according to an SCE statement.

Following last Friday's shooting at SCE's Rivergrade facility, the utility established the fund to help families of the two supervisors who were killed and two people who were wounded but survived.
