Seven-Vehicle Collision Ties Up 210 at Irwindale

No major injuries reported, and traffic is still slow from Glendora.

A multi-vehicle traffic collision is still tying up traffic on the westbound Interstate 210 freeway at Irwindale Avenue.

No major injuries were reported and no one required hospitalization in the crash that involved several big rigs and a garbage truck, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The accident was reported just before 12:30 p.m. The traffic was confined to the No. 1 and HOV lanes, and a Sig Alert was issued for those lanes. Other vehicles involved included a minivan, pickup truck, a Ford van and a white Nissan Maxima, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol.

The westbound 210 is extremely heavy as far back as Citrus Avenue in Azusa.

A few tow trucks are still on scene to remove the remaining vehicles, officials said.

Yeah, what happened to crashing while distracted by a really cute driver in the other car? Now they don't look up from the cell phone... : )

Where does it say that they were dialing or texting?
