Scuffle With Security Leads to Shoplifter’s Arrest

Giacomo Lorenzo Garbarin, 53, was arrested for attempting to steal from Kohl’s in Glendora.

A man was arrested following a fight with a loss prevention officer at Kohl’s after the suspect was caught stealing items from the store Thursday evening.

Giacomo Lorenzo Garbarin, 53, was caught stealing merchandise from Kohl’s, 1225 S. Lone Hill. When confronted by a loss prevention officer, Garbarin allegedly engaged in a struggle with the officer, fled the scene but was immediately apprehended, according to Sgt. Scott Strong.

Glendora PD did not say what items Garbarin tried to steal from the store.

Garbarin was arrested and charged with robbery in the second degree and burglary.
