Robbery Suspect Found Hiding Inside Azusa Restroom

Canine units found the suspect hiding inside Dino's Burgers Wednesday afternoon.

San Dimas Sheriffs found a robbery suspect holed up inside a restaurant in unincorporated Azusa Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.

At around 2:40 p.m., a man was robbed of his cell phone in a public parking lot at the intersection of Arrow Highway and Clydebank Avenue, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s department.

About an hour later, the suspect was spotted by deputies in the 5200 block of Roxburgh Avenue. The suspect fled from authorities and was found hiding inside Dino’s Burgers, 843 W. Arrow Hwy.

Deputies evacuated the restaurant and called for backup from Industry and Walnut Sheriff’s Station personnel, Azusa Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.

Canine units found the suspect hiding inside the restroom. Victor Ulloa, 25 of Azusa, was taken into custody without incident, according to authorities.
